What do I need to take part in a webinar?
- A stable internet connection + a device with sound (computer speakers or phone call-in).
- Zoom technology is used — you’ll receive a link in an email about the webinar; the room opens about 30 minutes before class.
How do I connect / log in?
- Check your email by the morning of the webinar for the Zoom link (also check spam/junk).
- Click the link to enter the session. Please login 10 minutes before the course is set to start to test your technology as well as type your full name and NPN into the chat section to “check in”.
What if I can’t hear or lose audio?
If you don’t hear the instructor, restart your session and rejoin. If issues persist, contact the office at 1-800-747-7574.
Do I need video or to be on camera?
No, video is not required. It’s all voice, slides, and interaction via chat and polls.
What happens if I get disconnected?
Try to log back in right away. Use chat to tell us when you reconnect and explain the issue. The moderator of each course will also provide a cell phone number so you may text to let them know if you’re having issues with your internet/technology.
How do polls and chat work?
- Polls will pop up during the webinar. Submit your answers when prompted.
- Use chat for technical issues, or if polls aren’t available on your device. Only you, the instructor, and office staff see your chats.
What if I don’t answer polls, or I multitask during webinar?
All poll questions must be answered, and you must focus on the webinar (no multitasking or running other programs) to receive credit for state insurance compliance purposes.
When do I get my certificate / credits?
- Credits are reported to your state the next business day (typically by noon).
- You’ll receive a completion certificate from Community Educators after successful completion of the course. If you don’t see your certificate, check spam/junk. Add hello@thecommunityeducators.com to your trusted email contracts lists / contacts.
How do I reach someone during the webinar?
- Use chat (choose “All Panelists” or similar).
- Or call the office at 1-800-747-7574.
